About Us

Meet the residents of McNabb Land:

I am Kaleena, a child of our Savior, the daughter of 2 wonderful parents, wife to the best man God ever created, mommy to 3 of the most beautiful girls ever (and one perfect little angel in Heaven), and friend to everyone I meet. Constantly busy. I am a homeschooling, list-making, medication giving, field trip planning, laundry goddess. Oh, and keeper of the band-aids! I stay exhausted. I'm no where near perfect. I complain when I feel like complaining and cry when I feel like crying. I'm emotional and I don't mind being that way. I try to raise my girls to be expressive with their feelings and honest about their faults. I love to laugh, blog, write, talk, share, bake, sew, and sing in the shower. I love my life. It's not easy, but it's the life God gave me. God doesn't give us anything He thinks we can't handle (and perhaps just a bit more to make us stronger!) Join us on this adventure in McNabb Land, but buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

This is my husband/best friend. He is the greatest man I know and his strength is immeasurable. His name is Bobby and we have been married for 11 years. In June 2008, he was diagnosed with chiari malformation. He had his first brain surgery on July 8, 2008. While in the OR he had a heart attack and we almost lost him. As a result, he had heart surgery exactly one week following brain surgery. He was diagnosed with atrial venticular tachycardia. God willing, we will have 100 more years together before the good Lord calls us home!

This beautiful little freckled girl is our first-born blessing, Destiny Ayn. She is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. Destiny is "the shy one" in McNabb Land, but is fiercely protective when it comes to her sisters. She loves reading, writing stories, and drawing.

This little blond haired beauty is my 2nd born blessing, Paisley Rae. Don't let the sweet smile fool you, though! She has a mean streak a mile long. She is 8 and in the 3rd grade this year. Her bright smile is contagious and I can always count on her to have a witty reply in any conversation. She is so smart and you can tell by looking at her that "the wheels are constantly turning" in her bright little mind. Paisley loves talking herself out of trouble, playing dressup, and building things out of legos.

This precious, yet precocious, little cherub is my 4 year old daughter, Delaney Joy, but she prefers to be called Moosey. There's never a dull moment with her around. Moosey loves pretending to be a superhero she calls "Super-Moose," playing with My Little Pony (to the point of obsession!), and her big sisters.
