As of midnight on Monday night, Delaney's diet was changed to only clear liquids. This was not such a big deal at midnight last night. She was sleeping and was not caring anything at all about eating. However, at 8:00 this morning she was madder than a hornet when she didn't get a little box of Laney-o's (cheerios) for breakfast. She's hungry and cranky and she is NOT happy about not being able to eat. She can have sprite, water, ginger ale, gatorade & jello (not red or orange), and broth. She can also have popsicles. She doesn't like anything on that menu except the sprite. It's going to be a LONG day with a SUPER cranky Laneybug!
Her surgery is tomorrow. I am nervous, but really looking forward to tomorrow. It will be so wonderful to have this surgery over with and hopefully we'll soon have a healthy Laneybug home and happy again. Please keep her in your prayers tomorrow as you go about your day. Please pray that the surgery goes well. Some patience for us as we wait for the news that the surgery is over would be great too! I will update as soon as I can tomorrow and let you know how everything goes. 
I can't blame her for being madder then a little hornet, I get a bit cranky myself if I don't get to eat.

Kaleena...I wait with prayers for you and your family...and for Delaney. I hope that all goes absolutely perfectly....and you will be able to take Laney Bug home soon....and she can have Cheerios to eat...throw....glue...whatever her little heart desires to do with them.
ReplyDeleteTonight, before we go to sleep, we will pray for Laney...the doctors and nurses that will be taking care of her...and for her parents that wait. Tomorrow, during the day, prayers will be whispered to our Lord to continue to take care of your li'l bug.
