Great news! I remembered to pack lunch for my kids today! Yay me, right? I know that the school makes extra food for those days when momma's forget to pack a lunch, but there's one proble with that. My kids are picky. That's the reason I pack their lunch everyday. They won't eat a cafeteria lunch. They eat the SAME food everyday for lunch and the schools won't serve the same kind of food that I pack for them. They won't eat cheese sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches, or really any kind of sandwiches. Destiny eats plain bread. Nothing on it at all. She won't eat her bread at all if anything has touched it. So, if you hand her a cheese sandwich, she won't take the cheese off and just eat the bread! Weird huh? I'm running out of things to blog about. Any ideas? I'm getting kind of tired of posting about how BLAH I feel. Maybe you all can give me some suggestions. Is there anything that you'd like me to talk about? Maybe something that you'd like to know about my family or our life in McNabb Land? I'll answer pretty much any question. Give me some ideas! Maybe you'd like more information about something I've blogged about in the past. Maybe you wanna know my shoe size? Lol, it's an 8 (in case you care!) I'm an open book....ask me anything and I'll try my best to answer.
Hi Kaleena!
ReplyDeleteI want to know when and how you met your hubby, and I want to know how you came up with your daughters names, and how old you were when you got married? And I had another one but I forget it at the moment. Oh, what are your favourite movies/tv shows?
I get kinda stuck like that too sometimes, which is why I post pictures of my kids' drawings or I write down random things they say that crack me up and save them for the "dry" moments. You could always post about a Bible verse that spoke to you that day or a quote or the current book you are reading or a movie you saw that touched you. Participate in a blog carnival or too, cuz' those are kind of fun and then go from there. I dunno, but I like to read your blog, so no worries!
ReplyDeleteHow about funny conversations between the kids? That has to be some of the most entertaining blog posts that I write...when the kids are engaged in a funny conversation.
ReplyDeleteOr you could interview them, like I did. Just take any topic and ask them questions about it and record what they say. It's a lot of fun to hear their answers.
I often let the day unfold and then watch for something to be blog worthy. The kids are great resources! I'd love to see more of the area you live in :) Are there historic buildings or places filled with tradition? Is there a main street or retail area? Are there old churches?
ReplyDeleteDo you have brother's and sister's? Do you have happy childhood memories? You could share about your hubby! Hmmm, does this help?
Lunch packed...kids happy....Mommie happy!
ReplyDeleteAll is well.
Regarding posting...I get the same way, Kaleena...that's why I post photos...and try and say as little as possible. I enjoy my camera...but am not a 'writer'....never was..and probably never will be.
I'd like to see some drawings that your girls have done....hear about the things that they enjoy doing for fun...perhaps cute stories about them (kids do say and do the cutest things...) I'm not much help in this department.... I should be giving myself advice!
Many smiles to you, Kaleena.
Jackie
PS I remember seeing Delaney Joys' name and I was like "AAWW" She's got the same middle name as me! It's a beautiful name, if I don't say so myself... oh wait, I do say so... :)
ReplyDeleteThank you about your prayers about my family, I continue to pray for yours, and I send hugs your way.
Also, have you been sleeping any better?
And some more blog ideas... Join Keely and I and do a "favourite things" post every once and a while ...pretty much we're just gunna pretend we're Oprah, and post some of our favourite things. Since Keely is pretty blog savvy I'm sure she'll work up a Mcklinky blog hop for it...
...and... I agree with everyone who said that seeing pictures of what the girls draw, or posts about their funny/cute conversations.
Kaleena...
ReplyDeleteYou are such a lovely lady!!! And your girls are simply beautiful...Yes, we'd all love to hear more about them...Praying for rest, and strength for you!!! Love you so much!!! Janine XO
I want to know how you got Destiny's middle name. Is it for Ayn Rand?
ReplyDeleteHow about A Day In The Life? You could take us through a typical day for you, complete with pictures. I'd love to see that.
ReplyDeleteUsually if I get stuck, something happens in my life that provides great blog fodder. Ha. Just keep your eyes open.
ReplyDeleteI agree - if there is nothing that seems "blog-worthy" to you...it's a picture posting day!
ReplyDeleteOh, and when you have nothing you think is "news" for your blog....be thankful that probably means everyone is healthy! :) Yaaa!
