Many Thank-You's

I want to say thank you to everyone that commented on my last post. I was worried that most people would focus more on my confession that I don't attend church and completely ignore the rest of my post. I really should have given you all more credit that that!!! Most of you responded that you attend churches that allow you to wear jeans. I wish I could find a church like that around here! When we lived in Arkansas, I attended a great church that didn't care what you wore. They were just happy to have you there. This town that we live in is very old fashioned in their beliefs. I haven't found a church that doesn't have what seems to be a very strict dress code. I've often noticed that at those churches there is alot of gossip over who is wearing what and who is going out on Saturday nights with so-and-so's brother. To me, that just takes away from the message of the service. I want to attend a church that people go to so that they can hear God's word, not the latest scandals! I guess I'll just have to keep looking for a church home.....

My Sugar is close to being on the mend. We gave her the last of her antibiotics this morning and are taking her back to the vet this morning. I think that she will be having her surgery sometime today so please be in prayer that everything goes okay for our sweet little pup. I wanted to take the time to say a special thank you to my friend (I hope you are reading this!!!) that helped me come up with the money to pay for Sugar's surgery. You are truly one of the sweetest and most generous people that I have ever had the pleasure and good fortune of knowing and I feel so very blessed to have you in my life! I love you and am so glad to have you as my sister in Christ. I pray that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and an even better New Year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have given my family the greatest gift ever-the chance to keep our Sugar with us for at least another year!

This week is the last week of school before Christmas. I am really looking forward to having the girls home with us for a few weeks. I just feel like I don't get to spend enough time with them during the school year and I'm always to happy to have them home with us! we have lots of fun stuff planned and I can't wait to get started. We will be **attempting** to make little "gingerbread" houses. Without the gingerbread. I am going to let them use icing, candies, and graham crackers instead of real gingerbread. We'll be baking cookies and brownies to give as gifts and I am also looking forward to that. I'll try to take some pictures of our fun so that I can share those moments with all of you:)

I will be back later today to tell you how Sugar is doing after her vet appointment. Thank you for praying with us!

  1. Unfortunately sometimes churches attract very hypocrytical and critical people and you need to stay away from them. You are a Christian and God will lead you to the place of worship where he wants you. I am so glad that little Sugar is going to get the surgery she needs. I also am receiving assistance from a dear internet friend to have my kitties spayed and neutered. I have never met her but she felt led to help me out too. I am so grateful for such dear people.

  2. We will keep little Sugar in our prayers today. Your plans for when the girls are home from school sound fun - do take some pictures so we can see all the fun you are having. Good luck finding a church that is accepting of you that isn't gossipy - that is not my idea of church either. Hugs to all of you.

  3. I hope God does lead you to a place you can call home - a church home that is! Glad you little pup is going to be okay.

We're on our last week before break too. The kids are getting extra excited. It's gonna be fun!
