Christmas In McNabb Land 2009

Christmas in McNabb Land is over now and WHEW! I'm tired! We took the girls to spend Christmas Eve with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We always make our family visits on Christmas Eve and then spend Christmas Day at home. We went to the in-laws first, after all, they only live next door:) After spending some time there, we came home and let the girls have some "calm down" time (lots of running around with the cousins had them all hyped up!) so that we could make the drive to my parents house. It was a wonderful day full of family, food, fun, and nice (for the most part) conversation. We came home and crashed.

Christmas morning came quickly. It felt like I had barely placed my head on my pillow before the girls were up and ready to go! Watching them open their gifts this year was a fun experience. All 3 of the girls were so excited to wake up to presents. A dear friend blessed us by helping this Christmas and the girls were anxious to see what "santa" had brought them. You'll have to forgive me for posting so many pictures. I just couldn't help myself:) The first 4 pictures are from Christmas Eve night. We let the girls open one gift that night with my in-laws. I also have photos from spending time at my parents house, but I will have to post them later....can't get them to upload big enough to view:(

This is the doll that my in-laws gave Paisley.

Destiny's doll from my in-laws. She also got a stuffed zebra in her stocking

Delaney playing with her shape sorter. She also got play-doh

Do you think she likes the duck she got in her stocking?

Can you believe she's smiling that big over a blanket? She loved it!

Destiny got some toiletries...toothbrush, body wash, deodorant, floss

Laney finally got her piggy out of the box!

She was opening a playfood set

Look at her little tongue hangin out! She was opening a new pair of shoes

Do you see the tears? She actually cried when she opened her blanket! I made it myself:)

Paisley's new build-a-bear. She named her Lily

Here we go...tears again! The child was so emotional!

I just loved this picture of her. She looks so happy!

sisterly love

After they had opened all the presents, they settled in to play with or try on their new things while Bobby and I got to work on cooking our Christmas meal. Later, while gathered 'round the table, I looked around at all the happy and healthy faces and said a silent thank you to God for the blessings we received this year. Spending this Christmas at home surrounded by those that I love the most truly made this the best Christmas ever.
