Growing Up

This morning I was helping Destiny get dressed for school when I suddenly noticed how short her jeans are getting. They once fit her little legs perfectly, but now she looks like she's waiting for a flood. I told her, "I believe you need some new jeans. You seem to have grown right out of yours overnight."

My little freckled girl (who will be nine this month!!!) climbed up into my lap and gave me a hug. She said, "yeah momma, I'm growin' up on you, huh? Soon I'll be too big for you."

I had to hide my face as the tears started rolling. "Yeah baby, you're getting to be a big girl, but you'll never be too big for me. You'll always be my baby."
