Oh The Pain!
Some people just can't take pain medication. You know the people I'm talking about. The ones that take one little pain pill and it goes straight to their head. It's like alcohol, but worse. They get to feeling relaxed....mellow. Then you notice that they start bobbing their head when the radio is on. Doesn't really matter what song is playing, any old tune will do. There's also the tell-tale sign of singing. Not so bad unless you notice that every word they sing is off key and a few seconds behind the song with a word missing here and there. And of course there's also the slurred speech, glassy eyes, and a giggle thrown in here and there. Anyone ever call you up just to say "I looooooove you" ?! Yep, that was me last night. Sorry. I've had this pain in my mouth that would come and go and it wasn't long before my ear started to ache. I thought I was getting an earache. Turns out it was a toothache causing my ear to hurt. I've spent the last few nights, wide awake, crying, it hurt so bad. I finally broke down and went to the dentist yesterday. I have some infected wisdom teeth that have to come out. I'll be taking antibiotics this week and thru the weekend and then on Monday, March 1 I go in to have my wisdom teeth and one back tooth cut out. Ouch. I love to go to the dentist for cleanings, but I can't stand to have a tooth "worked on" or removed. I just really don't tolerate pain medication very well. I actually had natural childbirth with all of my children just so that I could avoid taking pain medicine! Can you all pray for me on Monday as I'm having the surgery. I'm a little scared that the infection won't be completely gone. My dentist said that if ANY of the infection is still present it will complicate things. I will experience alot more pain after the surgery if the infection is still there. Please pray. And thank God that I didn't have your phone number last night:)

You poor thing. You can't seem to have a "normal" week in McNabb Land, can you? Yes, we will all be praying that the infection is gone and that the extractions go quickly. Hugs to you all.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely pray for you. I hate the dentist. YUCK>
ReplyDeleteI read this post with both sympathy and a smile. Depending on what time you called, I might have been okay and I might have been sayin' take some pain meds already!
ReplyDeleteI don't like pain meds either, though, and I didn't have meds when I had either one of my kids either. Those of us who do that are few and far between!
Thanks Kaleena! I did change the password on my Twitter.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you on Monday, Kaleena.
ReplyDeleteWrite me any time you need to...
Continue to take care of you and your girls.
I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago and it wasn't that fun, lol. But in the end it was worth it to not have to deal with the pain they were causing me before. Thoughts and prayers for you that you have a speedy recovery!
