A New Update....Thank God for Happy Meals

I am sorry that I wasn't able to make an update yesterday. I had such a busy day that the hours just got away from me. Destiny is still home and doing as well as can be expected. We started her on a low dose medication for her anxiety. She is still in a "funk" as far as her mood goes. She's been pretty mopey and acting depressed. There's alot she just can't understand about why illness keeps happening to our family. She's such a sensitive little soul. She takes everything to heart and worries about everything. We are going to have to learn not to talk so openly around her. Paisley finally ate a little bit for dinner last night. It didn't stay down long, but it was still great to see her make any effort. Her color continues to improve. She looks a little healthier than she did before. She has lost a little more than 4 pounds now. Her little face looks thinner than ever, but the doctor is not too concerned over the weight loss. He said she can easily gain the weight back once she starts eating again. We look for that to be soon. She got up hungry this morning, but the food they brought her was just nasty and it made her nauseous. I sent my in-laws out for a Happy Meal so *fingers crossed* maybe she will eat that and keep it down. We want to bring her home as soon as possible. Delaney is looking fantastic. She will most definitely be healthy and home in enough time to take her to Chattanooga for her eye surgery. Crazy isn't it? After all this time in the hospital, we still have to take her to yet another hospital in 2 weeks for surgery. I just look forward to the surgery being over. We've already put it off twice for other reasons, so the build up of emotions is killing me. I think this time we'll actually have to go through with it. No more putting it off. Her eyes need to be fixed, we need her to see!!!! I am anxious to see her reaction to the colors and sights of the Springtime. I'm sure it will take some getting use to, but I know she'll love rainbows and birds and colors as much as her momma does! Just keep praying for my girls. I KNOW that the praying is what is making the girls feel better. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. Thank you all for helping us pray for my little ones to be reunited at home. I know that we will all be home soon and feeling better than ever! Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to go ahead a start praying now that Delaney's eye surgery goes smoothly and is a big success!!! God Bless you all!

  7. Do you read "Confessions of a CF Husband?" His baby who was an extremely premature baby just had eye surgery. You might find encouragement from his blog. It is: cfhusband.blogspot.com

    I am praying...

  8. Sure will keep praying, Kaleena. And when you can, or care to, would you mind sharing what the eye surgery is for and what the difficulty is? My daughter has had three eye surgeries.

  9. Bless your heart! I pray that the Lord will heal all three of your girls! We just take authority over that illness and tell it to be gone in Jesus name! We pray health and healing to those babies! I pray for the restoration of sight to your little ones eyes.

Hope you get some rest. I pray peace over you, the peace that passes all understanding...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)
